Supplemental Job Displacement Vouchers

Employees injured on or after Jan. 1, 2004, who are permanently unable to do their usual job, and whose employer does not offer other work, may qualify for the supplemental job displacement benefits (SJDB). SJDB comes in the form of a non-transferable voucher that can be used to pay for educational retraining or skill enhancement, or both, at state-approved or state-accredited schools. P. Steve Ramirez Vocational Training Centers is a state-accredited school!

Supplemental Job Displacement Benefits Voucher. Employees injured on or after Jan. 1, 2013, who are permanently unable to do their usual job, and whose employer does not offer other work, qualify for the SJDB voucher. The voucher amount is $6,000 for all permanent disability ratings. Employees are eligible to their voucher after being declared P & S, they no longer have to wait until the date of their settlement.

The voucher is due 60 days after a treating doctor, agreed medical evaluator (AME), or qualified medical evaluator (QME) declares the injured worker permanent and stationary, and issues a report outlining the worker's work capacities and the employer does not offer the injured worker a job.

Students at P. Steve Ramirez Vocational Training Centers are provided with assistance with job opportunities through are partner company P. Steve Ramirez Vocational Services to help them achieve their career goals.

ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING

Students will recieve one-on-one training to assist them in reaching their vocational goals. You will not be left alone in your program together we will help you achieve.

       

INTERNSHIPS

Once enrolled you are elgible for an internship with a local employer. Internships are a great way for students to gain exposure in the career they are pursuing. Once the internship is completed they are likely to be the first individuals considered for employment opportunities.
